Our History
Originally established in October 1975 as Hyer Street Skool, the facility was purchased in 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, it operated primarily as a daycare. Michelle Voeller, originally from South Florida, became the new owner and operator. With a lifelong passion for early childhood development, Michelle began her journey in the field after graduating from Plantation High School in 1986. For over 20 years, Michelle served as the director of Creative Child Learning Center (CCLC), transforming it into one of the top preschools in Broward County. Under her leadership, the school became the go-to childcare choice for professional families, including players and staff from the Florida Marlins (MLB), Miami Heat (NBA), and Miami Dolphins (NFL). Her center was even featured in the Miami Dolphins’ “New Player” welcome package as the recommended preschool. Fulfilling her dream of owning her own school, Michelle rebranded the center as Hyer Street Preschool, with a renewed focus on education and enrichment. She implemented the Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, designed to nurture young learners and future leaders through a balance of play-based and structured learning experiences, all grounded in strong family involvement. Today, Hyer Street Preschool offers a dynamic environment with three playgrounds, a spacious outdoor patio, and a greenhouse—ensuring children are engaged in both classroom learning and outdoor discovery.
